5th July 2008 (Friday)

Hey today's FRIDAY!!! Woooo~Sweet! Apparently it's the LAST DAY OF THE WEEK and third lang was generally ok. I think I've finally managed to get over the "Zera-san why so pro" problem and got on with my usual Jap confidence...Though I'm pretty more wary right now of my opponents and their progress.

Don't blame me for being competitive. Go blame rgs and my parents. o.O Oh well, some healthy competition won't suck too much but yeah, if it kindles jealousy, it isn't really THAT nice huh?

Okay, so basically today we had quite a pleasing timetable, had netball assessment drill 1 during PE lesson. It rained in the morn, the air was really blazing cool and feels as though we were drinking ice milo (not a very appropriate description but the BEST THING IN RGS is the WONDERFUL ICE MILO they sell at canteen stall no. 1)...Azzy and I got down J block pretty fast for some reason and we were observing a few earthworms prodding around blindly in the running track...

Yeah well, after the assessment we had to take our weight. I freaked out cuz weight-taking had always been my most fearsome activity in every place, since I had been overweight at the start of the year with a terrible measurement of 62kg. WOW lol.

And guess what? Today my measurement was 54.6kg! Lost 7.4kg!!! OMG the diet WORKED!!! IT WORKED~!!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO now I'm lighter than Keerthana. She used to be lighter than me! BWAHAHAHAAAA she's 57kg.

Well for assembly, we did have another Head Prefect voting campaign that was TERRIBLY BORING (sorry for that offensive comment but YEAH) haiz...I think I'll vote Joy. Tiffy was tremendously happy when she heard that I was voting for Joy...I think my 2nd Choice will be Qi Qi, she seems pretty good too. Actually like what Yang Jing said, I think I'll rather vote for that brave Claris girl who asked this wonderful question today...if only she was running for Head Prefect...haiz...

Okay! Now for Art! I was (okay) today so yeah...did another 2 pictures with Paint. The first one is titled "Beyond the Oceanarium"...did with spray and fill yet again.

It shows this foggy deep blue ocean with coarse tendrils and whirls of mist drifting over its surface, and above it is a dark black sky with sprays of white stars that litter the horizon. It has this mysterious and whispy feeling that doesn't seem to exist here in reality...yeah, sad truth, but it only exists in my imagination. Or perhaps the imagination of other artists too.

It feels kinda free. This picture. For some reason I'm really pleased with it, reminds me of the feeling and emotions I experience in particularly weird dreams of explorations into places of deep myth...cuz I don't experience them often now and it's really...a scarce kind of "good" to see them portraited in my artworks.

That's why I love being an artist. I like seeing things out in real format to convey the true meaning, instead of abstract stuff like Mathematics or even some aspects of literature. I like to see feelings take shape, the wonder of how they do and the beauty of the miraculous formations. It reflects a person's inner feelings and their consciousness, or even their astral theme. For music, it is the same thing.

I believe in the wonder of a pencil, a slab of eraser, and a simple bottle of paint. Of course, there're art softwares too.

So here's "Beyond the Oceanarium", enjoy. I'm currently using it as my desktop wallpaper. ^^

Next up we have this random picture about hope which I did out of pure randomness...It's titled "Candlelight Hope". I didn't really decide on the words written, you know, the "Hope, a Gift" thingie...It just came out itself as I looked at the candle formations and the whole picture atmosphere. Well, I dunno why...and don't ask me why. Art is strange in many ways.

Well this picture shows a place of barren darkness, a shadowed abyss, or just some place in an enclosed, shabby dream. The alignment of the candles are from near to far, and the words "Hope, A Gift" is written in yellow and white spray. Has a touch of christmas feel.

Okay before I end off this post, I'll tellya that Azzy's bro is in NS right now, over in a forest in Brunei trying to survive 1 week on 2 days of food...well apparently, it's gonna be tough. Good luck! (No sarcasm. It's true. Good luck.)

Anyway, Azzy told me about this poor 18-year-old NS guy who was in the same Brunei forest, somehow he got TERRIBLY HUNGRY and he didn't have enough food rations, so he took the army dagger and tried killing a hog with it. He managed to get a stab but the hog ran away with that dagger, and in turn this poor guy had to get 9 months of confinement AND plus a fine for losing a millitary weapon. Haiz...poor guy.

Azzy says that she won't be surprised if her bro ever comes across the same hog, takes out that dagger and plucks that unfortunate little guy from his confinement...haha, yeah, true...well, hope that's it then.

Nightie, everyone. Sayounara, will write tomorrow I guess, if I have time. Have to revise like mad for Japanese. I'VE GOTTA BEAT ZERA-SAN THIS TIME.
